Frankfurt - Mannheim : General refurbishment of the Riedbahn

To improve punctuality and quality, Deutsche Bahn fundamentally overhauls the link between Frankfurt/Main and Mannheim - so called Riedbahn - in 2024. Within five months, DB will modernise all the facilities on the approximately 70-kilometre-long line. This includes around 117 track kilometres, 152 points and 140 kilometres of overhead line. The general refurbishment also includes the stations, stops and signals, as well as noise protection along the Riedbahn. There will be timetable changes around Frankfurt Hbf (main station), Frankfurt Airport, Bensheim, Weinheim, Heidelberg and Mannheim.

Note

The adjusted timetable planners can be found in the information and booking systems.
