Aachen – Berlin : Reduction in services due to construction work

Due to the very high level of construction work on the rail network, there are currently impairments in operational stability throughout Germany (missed connections, extended journey times, short-term cancellations of stops). Where the network is particularly busy, characterised by construction sites and prone to disruption, some long distance trains have to be temporarily cancelled. This stabilises the situation for the benefit of our passengers. There is an extensive range of long distance trains between North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. As a result, individual ICE trains on the "booster" line (Aachen-Mönchengladbach-)/Cologne-Hanover-Berlin will be temporarily cancelled.

Note

The adjusted timetables can be found in the information and booking systems.

We recommend that you use the digital travel companion in the DB Navigator app with automatic notifications of changes to your booked or bookmarked journey during the construction site period in order to always see the latest timetable planners.
