Another special attraction is the Koblenz Cable Car. It is Germany's biggest aerial tramway, offering spectacular views over Deutsches Eck, and takes visitors up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. At 118 metres above the Rhine River, this is Europe's second-largest preserved fortress, where you will find several museums dedicated to photography and archaeology. Permanent exhibitions at various locations inside the fortress cover its 5000-year-old history. Of course there are also gastronomic establishments, such as the Haus des Genusses, which celebrates regional wine making and Baroque dining. Deutsche Bahn offers many connections to Koblenz Hauptbahnhof from nearby cities, such as Bonn, Mainz, Cologne and Trier, so getting there is easy!
