The special offer is valid from 1 to 31 May 2026, during which time holders of a second class BahnCard 25 or 50 can also benefit from their BahnCard discount when purchasing first class tickets. The outward and return journeys must both fall within the promotional period.

When booking with a second class BahnCard, simply select a first class BahnCard and a first class ticket. This gives you a discount on the first class ticket price similar to that of your own BahnCard 25 or 50. You must then present your second class BahnCard on the train in combination with your first class ticket.

No, the special offer is only available for travel between 1 May and 31 May 2026. The return journey must also be made by 31 May 2026 at the latest. If you would like to travel back in June 2026, you will need to buy two separate tickets for the outward and return journeys.
