Call a Bike has no physical stations but virtual return zones. To find the nearest station in your area, we recommend that you allow the app to locate your location. You will then see the nearest station on the map in the app where you can rent or return a bike without any additional fees.

Lock the bike by pushing the latch on the frame lock all the way down. Make sure the lock is securely closed.

To confirm that your ride has ended, please check the app once more.

Note: Ending a journey is only free of charge at stations.

If you end your rental outside a station, we will notify you in the app and by text message. Your rental will automatically be placed on pause. You then have 24 hours to choose one of the following options:

Resume your ride and return the bike to a station.

Keep the ride paused (up to 24 hours).

End the ride and pay the fee for returning the bike outside a station.
If no action is taken, your rental will automatically end after 24 hours of pause time. In addition to the ride charge, a fee for returning the bike outside a station will be applied.

The displayed maximum price per day (max. price / day / ride) refers to a ride with one bike up to 24 hours from the start time of the booking. If you want to interrupt the ride, pause the ride but do not end it. New journeys with the same or a different bike will be recalculated and do not count towards the daily price of the last journey.

Maximum rental period: Bike sharing should ensure fast and flexible mobility over the last mile. The bikes should therefore only be borrowed for a short time and then be available again for other users. In Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH's bike sharing systems, the maximum rental period is therefore limited to 72 hours (three days) per trip. After that, the rental can be terminated by us. For longer rentals, we recommend a classic bike rental.

You can pause your ride at any time during your rental period. Please note that a pause may last for a maximum of 24 hours. To start a pause, open the app and navigate to your active ride. There, you’ll find a button to pause your ride. After tapping it, the LED on the lock should start flashing and you’ll hear a beep. You can then lock the bike.

To resume your ride, open the app, go to your active ride and unlock the bike. You can then continue cycling. Please note that the time your ride is paused still counts towards your rental time. However, you will never pay more than the daily rate. If your bike remains in pause mode for more than 24 hours, the rental will automatically end.

There can be various reasons why a lock does not close:

1. The spokes of the rear wheel are blocking the lock: Move the rear wheel a little and try to close the lock again by pressing the lever on the lock all the way down until you hear a sound.
2. Report the damage within the app with the category "Lock does not close".
