The BahnCard 50 gives you a BahnCard discount of 50 per cent on flexible fares and 25 per cent on saver and super saver fares within Germany in the corresponding coach class. The chargeable City-Ticket for the saver fare and super saver fare is not discounted.

The BahnCard is available to all travellers between the ages of 27 and 64. When you order your BahnCard, your date of birth is used to check whether you comply with this.

You can cancel your BahnCard 50 up to six weeks before the end of the validity period.

Simply use your customer account:

2. Under "BahnCard" and "Options" you can find out whether you can cancel.
3. If cancellation is possible, confirm by clicking "Cancel BahnCard".

The BahnCard 50 is valid for 12 months. The BahnCard 50 bought during the promotional period is valid for one year from the first day of the validity period. It is automatically extended by one year if it is not cancelled in writing four weeks before the end of the contract period.

Yes, the BahnCard 50 bought during the promotional period turns into a BahnCard 50 subscription at the regular price at the end of the validity period of one year, unless it is cancelled in writing four weeks before it is due to expire. No, you can neither upgrade nor exchange a BahnCard 50 for a new one at the promotional price. It is also not possible to offset an existing BahnCard against a new one at the special price.
