The ICE 3neo - Extraordinary comfort put on the rails in record time

The new ICE 3neo was introduced on 11 December 2022. It offered several new features and even greater comfort. Welcome to the DB long-distance transport fleet The train was developed based on the existing ICE 3 with our partner Siemens. Together, we were able to get this new train on the rails in record time for our customers.

Interesting facts about the new ICE 3neo

The ICE 3neo is the latest addition to DB's ICE fleet. The 73 new trains will increase the number of seats available daily to DB's long-distance passengers by a further 32,000. This increase will also give DB the capacity it needs to run the integrated timetable across Germany as planned by 2030.The first ICE 3neo trains began transporting passengers at the end of 2022. The new trains will initially travel between North Rhine-Westphalia and Frankfurt via the Cologne-Rhine/Main high-speed line, with additional individual connections via Wiesbaden and Mainz to Frankfurt Central and to Munich via Stuttgart.
