Special Terms of Use for Bookings on Websites/in Apps

Via some of its websites/apps, DB Fernverkehr AG offers booking of its own services in its own name and for its own account and/or booking of other providers' services in the name and for the account of the respective named provider. The providers are traders within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, "BGB").

Contracting parties

The contract is concluded between you and the provider shown in each case (DB Fernverkehr AG or third-party provider).

Date of contract conclusion

The presentation of service offerings on the websites/apps of DB Fernverkehr AG is for general information purposes and does not constitute a legally binding offer.

By clicking on the order button, e.g. "Buy now", you submit a binding offer to conclude a contract. However, the contract between you and the respective provider is only concluded when a binding booking confirmation is displayed or sent or when the booked service is activated. The respective provider's terms and conditions of sale and/or carriage apply.

Right of withdrawal

Under Section 312 (8) and Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB, there is no right of withdrawal from contracts for passenger transport or time-bound services. You can find information on cancelling your BahnCard contract at

Contract language and storage of the contract

The contract is concluded in German. We do not store the contract text when the contract is concluded. The details of your booking will be provided in the order confirmation e-mailed to you.
