The trial BahnCard 25/50 Gold is a Deutsche Bahn discount card just like the regular trial BahnCard 25/50. It is valid for three months, after which it automatically continues as a regular subscription.
The trial BahnCard 25 Gold entitles the holder to a BahnCard discount of 25 % on super saver and saver fares, as well as 25 % on flexible fares, within Germany in the corresponding travel class.
The trial BahnCard 50 Gold entitles the holder to a BahnCard discount of 25 % on super saver and saver fares, as well as 50 % on flexible fares, within Germany in the corresponding travel class.
On top of this, holders of a trial BahnCard Gold can travel long-distance transport throughout Germany free of charge on the day following a gold medal for the German paralympics team at the Paralympics Winter Games in Milano Cortina (6 to 15 March 2026).

During the Paralympics Winter Games in Milano Cortina (6 to 15 March 2026), you can travel long-distance transport free of charge throughout Germany with the trial BahnCard 25/50 Gold at any time on the day after the German paralympics team wins a gold medal.
For tickets already purchased, the respective exchange and refund conditions apply; these remain unaffected by the promotion. A non-cancellable ticket (e.g. the Super saver fare) cannot be returned or refunded.
No, the Trial BahnCard 25 or 50 Gold 1st class does not entitle you to use the DB Lounge.
Yes, on the day of the free travel, the regulation for free travel of up to 4 children aged 6 to 14 years inclusive also applies.
Yes, it renews automatically for one year unless you cancel it in writing at least four weeks before the end of the trial period. The subsequent card will be either a regular or reduced BahnCard 25/50, a My BahnCard 25/50, or a BahnCard 25/50 for senior citizens for first or second class.
Yes, you must cancel your trial BahnCard Gold up to four weeks before the end of the trial period if you no longer want to use it.
