Adjustments to offers

Booking for all offers for the new timetable, including for travel during the Christmas holiday season, will be available from 16 October. Any journeys booked up to and including 14 December will still be at the old prices.

  • Super saver fares and saver fares will remain unchanged and are available for EUR 17.99 and EUR 21.99 respectively
  • Flexible fares will increase by an average of 5.9%
  • Prices for commuters will increase by an average of 5.9%, although flexible offers will still be available with the 10/20-journey ticket
  • Prices for bicycle transport within Germany will be between EUR 7.99 and EUR 14.99
  • Prices for BahnCard 25 and BahnCard 50 discount cards will remain unchanged
  • BahnCard 100:
    Prices will rise by an average of 6.6%
    The monthly cost of the Deutschland-Ticket issued with the BahnCard 100 will increase by EUR 9. The new prices include this adjustment.

Extension of advance purchase: From Wednesday, 16 October 2024, you will be able to book many offers up to twelve months in advance. These include the saver and super saver fares, as well as the flexible fares for travelling within Germany.

Highlights

  • Berlin – Paris: New direct daytime service once a day in each direction via Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Strasbourg, journey time around eight hours
  • Amsterdam – Munich: New daily direct ICE service via Stuttgart and Ulm, journey time around seven hours
  • Munich – Lindau – Zurich: New eighth direct service, leaving early from Zurich and late from Munich, ideal for long day trips from Switzerland and the Lake Constance region
  • Berlin – Krakow – Przemysl: There will be three daily services every four hours between Berlin and Krakow, continuing to/from Przemysl twice daily
  • Berlin – Frankfurt Sprinter: There will be 11 services per day in each direction, with a journey time of around four hours. Of these, three services will travel non-stop and two will continue directly to/from Saarbrücken
