Offer BahnCard 25, first class: travel occasionally, save right away

The promotion is valid from 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025, during which time you can purchase the BahnCard 25/50 at a promotional price. The advance purchase period ends on 31 March 2025.

All travellers can purchase the BahnCard 25/50 at a special price. The BahnCard is valid for 12 months. Unless you cancel it in text form 4 weeks before the end of the term, the subsequent card is a regular or discounted BahnCard or a senior citizens BahnCard or My BahnCard 1st or 2nd class. Your date of birth will be used to check which BahnCard is the subsequent ticket.

You can buy the BahnCard 25/50 at the special price directly online, in the DB Navigator app or at DB Travel Centres and DB agencies.

Neither an upgrade nor an exchange for a BahnCard 25/50 at the promotional price is possible. It is therefore not possible to credit an existing BahnCard to a BahnCard at the promotional price.

The purchase of a BahnCard is only possible with a customer account on bahn.de. A valid, personal e-mail address is required to create a customer account. To be able to use the digital BahnCard, you also need the customer account with which you can log in to the DB Navigator app. In the DB Navigator app, the digital BahnCard is stored directly in the customer account and can be accessed when logged in.

The BahnCard 25 gives you a BahnCard discount of 25 per cent on flexible, saver and super saver fares within Germany in the corresponding coach class. The chargeable City-Ticket for the saver fare and super saver fare is not discounted.

You can use the ICE and IC/EC trains, ÖBB Nightjet (reservation may be required) and local transport (IRE, RE, RB, S-Bahn).

Many transport associations, bus operators and private rail operators also grant BahnCard 25 discounts.

If the BahnCard is recognised on the desired connection, the discount is automatically deducted at the time of booking. You can use the digital BahnCard in the same way as the plastic BahnCard for the various regional fares and transport associations.

Whether the BahnCard is recognised in the respective state tariffs or transport associations is regulated by their tariff and transport conditions.

You can cancel your BahnCard 25 up to six weeks before the end of the validity period.

Simply use your customer account:

1. Log in to your customer account via website.
2. Under "BahnCard" and "Options" you can find out whether you can cancel.
3. If cancellation is possible, confirm by clicking "Cancel BahnCard".
