Is a trial BahnCard 50 automatically renewed like a subscription?

Your trial BahnCard 50 is automatically renewed for one year unless you cancel it in writing at least 4 weeks before it is due to expire. The follow-up card will be a regular or reduced BahnCard 50 or a My BahnCard 50 for 1st or 2nd class.
