What happens to my Deutschland-Ticket if I do not agree to the price change or if I do not respond by the deadline of 30 November 2025?

If you do not agree to the price increase or if you do not respond by the deadline, we will unfortunately have to cancel your Deutschland-Ticket subscription with effect from 31 December 2025. You do not have to do anything else, your Deutschland-Ticket subscription will end at the end of 2025 and you will not incur any costs. Please note that you will no longer be able to use your Deutschland-Ticket from 1 January 2026.

If you have missed the deadline of 30 November 2025 or would like to continue your subscription, select the "Reactivate subscription" menu item in the "Aboportal" or the DB Navigator app. This option is only available until the entered termination date of 31 December 2025. During this period, the status of your subscription will be "cancellation initiated". If you reactivate your subscription, we will renew your Deutschland-Ticket at the new conditions, i.e. in particular at the new price. If you continue your cancelled subscription, its status will be "active".

Please note: From January 2026, if a ticket inspector finds you to be travelling without a valid ticket, you will have to pay a penalty fare of at least EUR 60. Please ensure that you have a valid ticket before travelling.
