If you specify your departure and destination when booking, the City-Ticket is included in the total ticket price for flexible travel to and from a long-distance station if:
- the departure or destination is in one of the approximately 130 City-Ticket towns and cities,
- you use local public transport within the City-Ticket zone to travel to or from long-distance transport (ICE, IC, EC)
If you only need DB long-distance trains (e.g. from Cologne Main Station to Berlin Central) and do not require a transfer within the City-Ticket area using local transport, the saver fare ticket will be issued without a City-Ticket.

Yes, cancellation is possible.
You can cancel the booked ticket free of charge within 3 hours of booking (180 minutes) before the first day of validity for the outward journey, provided you purchased the ticket via bahn.de or the DB Navigator app.
It is not possible to rebook the ticket.
