How do I know if I have received the discount correctly?

You can check the discount directly when booking:

Online booking (bahn.de or DB Navigator app):

• During the booking process, you will see the flexible fare with the 50% discount in the offer selection. You can book this directly. A BahnCard 25 discount will be shown on your ticket, but you will receive the discount of a BahnCard 50.

Tickets can be purchased at DB travel centres, DB agencies or at ticket machines:

• The BahnCard 50 discount is selected manually during the booking process. A BahnCard 50 discount is shown on the ticket with a flexible fare reduced by 50%. When you are checked on the train, it is sufficient to show your BahnCard 25 to take advantage of the promotion.
